WinAudit gathers and reports information stored only on the local computer. The programme does not does not send, transmit or in anyway communicate any information about your computer to anyone without your knowledge. The programme has no networking capabilities and as such cannot be used to audit a remote computer.

WinAudit cannot autonomously send e-mail, it only creates the message and displays it for the user to place into the e-mail programme's outbox. When the programme is run in command line mode a window appears that informs the user an audit is being performed.
