This section presents information about the computer's processor. A Pentium® level processor or above is required. A description of the (first) processor is given in the System Overview section, which probably suffices for most auditing needs.

Basic Information
Processor Number
A number to identify the processor on systems with multiple processors. Counting starts at 1.
Name
The name is obtained from the processor itself or is resolved from its signature and physical characteristics.
Short Name
A shortened version of processor's name such as P3 or K8.
Speed - Estimated
The speed in MHz estimated over certain number of processor cycles.
Speed - Registry
The speed in MHz as reported in the system registry. Zero if not present in the registry.
Processor Type
The type of processor, one of: OEM Primary, Overdrive or Secondary.
Manufacturer
The name of the processor's manufacturer.
Serial Number
The serial number, if present, as stored in the processor by its manufacturer. Serial numbers are present on Pentium® III processors only.
APIC Physical ID
The Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller identification number. This number can be used to identify individual logical processors in a single physical processor package.
Detailed Information
Processor Number
A number to identify the processor on systems with multiple processors. Counting starts at 1.
Logical Processors
The number of logical processors in the package containing this processor.
Number Cores
The number of cores in the package containing this processor.
Vendor String
A manufacturer specific message stored in the processor, examples are GenuineIntel and AuthenticAMD.
Family
A manufacturer specific number to indicate the product family of the processor.
Model
A manufacturer specific number to indicate the product model of the processor.
Stepping
A manufacturer specific number to indicate the level of design change of the processor.
Extended Family
A manufacturer specific number to indicate any extended product information.
Extended Model
A manufacturer specific number to indicate any extended model information.
Brand ID
A manufacturer specific number to indicate brand information.
FPU - Floating Point Unit
Indicates if the processor has a unit to perform floating-point calculations.
VME - Virtual Mode Extensions
Indicates if the processor supports Virtual Mode Extensions.
DE - Debugging Extensions
Indicates if the processor supports Debugging Extensions.
PSE - Page Size Extensions
Indicates if the processor supports Page Size Extensions.
TSC - Time Stamp Counter
Indicates if the processor supports Time Stamp Counter.
MSR - Model Specific Registers
Indicates if the processor supports Model Specific Registers.
PAE - Physical Address Extensions
Indicates if the processor supports Physical Address Extensions.
MCE - Machine Check Exceptions
Indicates if the processor supports Machine Check Exceptions.
CX8 - Compare and Exchange 8 Byte
Indicates if the processor supports Compare and Exchange 8 Byte.
APIC - On Chip APIC present
Indicates if the processor has APIC present

Indicates if the processor supports Page Global Enable.

Indicates if the processor supports Page Attribute Table.

PSN - Processor Serial Number
Indicates if the processor has the functionality to store serial number. Pentium® III only.
CLFL - CLFLUSH Instruction

ACPI - ACPI Supported

Cache Information
Cache Level
The cache level of the processor, normally 1, 2 and 3 designated L1, L2 and L3.
Processor Number

Indicates if the cache for the instructions and data is combined.
Code Size
The size of the code (instruction) cache expressed in KB.
Code Width
The code line width expressed in bytes.
Code Associativity
Indicates the level of data associativity, i.e. how code in the main memory is mapped into the cache.
Data Size
The size of the data cache expressed in KB.
Data Width
The data line width expressed in bytes.
Data Associativity
Indicates the level of data associativity, i.e. how data in the main memory is mapped into the cache.
Unified Size
The size of the unified cache expressed in KB.
Unified Width
The unified line width expressed in bytes.
Unified Associativity
Indicates the level of code and data associativity.
